It was founded by Ms Halima Muhamed in June 2017 because she wanted to support job seekers and entrepreneurs by offering them guidance that aids informed choices; given her professional experience as a recruiter and an entrepreneur herself.
Ms. Muhamed recognized that often times people miss out on their desired career paths because they lack informed career guidance. With high unemployment, job seekers habitually choose the next available job in order to earn money, consequently building a career in an area of specialization that they may not be interested in. Furthermore, they often miss out on job opportunities because; they lack the ability to market themselves well enough on CVs and cover letters; they tend not to prepare for job interviews; and also may lack the employer’s desired skills and capabilities. Entrepreneurs on the other hand hardly develop, organize and manage a business venture to its profitability.
Compelled by her passion to facilitate the success of others, Ms. Muhamed decided to bridge the gap in the Ugandan job market by starting up The Fount Ltd in order to add value to an individual’s life by equipping them with the tools needed to make them more employable or entrepreneurial thus making a positive impact to their lives.
The Fount therefore enable people discover and maximise their highest potential through intentional career guidance and personal development.
